COMMUNICATIONS COACH TELLS WOMEN HOW TO STOP SABOTAGING CAREER SUCCESS Staten Island, NY: March 15, 1999 -- In honor of Women's History Month, Diane DiResta, author of Knockout Presentations and President of DiResta Communications, will give a lunchtime lecture on "Ten Ways Women Sabotage Their Communication in the Workplace" at Borders Books, Park Avenue and 57th Street on March 23rd at 12:30. Ms. DiResta believes that although there is a glass ceiling, women often act as partners in their own career sabotage. As a speech communications coach, she counsels women to use feminine power instead of trying to be like men. "Women do need to be aware of how they communicate differently from men and how to present a stronger, more powerful image," states DiResta. "The biggest way women sabotage their success is by avoiding public speaking because of fear. Women need to take every opportunity to be visible and that means getting out to speak."
